What the Verified Hiring badge means
Verified Hiring: license verified with Washington State DSHS, in good standing, and actively hiring.
All four must be true
- The home holds an active paid AFHCircle account.
- Its Washington DSHS adult family home license was verified by our team within the last 12 months: license number checked against the state lookup, licensee name confirmed, and no open enforcement action found on the state reports page at the time of verification.
- The license is currently in good standing in state records.
- The home marked itself as actively hiring within the last 30 days.
The badge is computed from these facts every time it is shown; it cannot be bought separately or set by hand, and it disappears automatically when any condition stops being true. Every listing also shows its license number linking to the official state record, so you can verify directly with Washington DSHS.
